The Client completely renovated existing structure including a
new roof structure and design. This complicated roof design required
installation of 150’ long, curved trusses at a 30-degree angle.
Additionally, the site had limited access and terrain which varied
up to 8’. Sicklesteel proposed a multiple crane pick utilizing
the clients luffing tower cranes positioned on the inside of the
building and a DEMAG TC1200 (308 ton) positioned on the outside.
After the trusses were installed, the DEMAG TC1200 (308 ton) was
then utilized to dismantle the tower cranes. This method contributed
to realigning the project to its schedule and came in under budget.
